The Story Behind Purgatory PEOPLE

Praying For The Poor Souls

To develop a ministry providing Poor Souls Prayer Cards to help the living (Church Militant) to pray for the Poor Souls (Church Suffering) to help God experience the Special Love He has for them when they enter His Glorious Presence in Heaven (Church Triumphant!).

But you want the real story from one person to another.

Who knows why I prayed at the age of 15 that I didn’t want to attend my first funeral mass until after I turned 30.

On Oct 4, I went to my first funeral, the day after I turned 30.
The more years that have passed, the more the coincidence would be deemed normal.

At the funeral, with the door closed, the family gathered around the closed casket, we heard a few words from the priest about how the relative had to be in Heaven.

YES and NO!

Yes, we hope he is.

No, he probably isn’t. It’s ok to be honest.

The problem is two-fold.

Guidance on the Prayer

The priest told the people they don’t need to pray, yet that is exactly what they need to do during their time of mourning.

The relative could be in Purgatory.

Heaven, Purgatory or hell. 1 in 3 shot.

“Our Purgatory prayer cards give direct guidance to pray to help those in mourning, regardless what anyone tells you. Every time your loved one comes to mind say a few prayers for them.”

An Apostolate

PRAY LOUD so they can hear you too. The time to be shy has passed.
There are many stories about events that have transpired during the 11 years of this apostolate.

Until New Orleans Archbishop Alfred Hughes blessed this ministry a few years after he gave me his approval using I never thought of it as an apostolate!

Remembering The Holy Souls

In business we hand each other business cards all the time. A quick glance and we barely hear the sales pitch.

I hand someone a Poor Souls card and chances are the floodgates of a relationship pour out, sometimes accompanied by tears, laughter or silent pauses.

The silent pauses are the most telling. There, in those varied moments around the conversation, are the real stories.

We are the Purgatory People

You are wanting to tell me more, but there are too many factors and the situation warrants more time than a few minutes. The real web isn’t online. The real web is in the connection between our relationships.

I know you are thinking of the whirlwind event, people coming and going, he said this, she said that, and then we glanced and later had a laugh, cry or just a simple silent moment.

We don’t know the depth of Love that Heaven is celebrating during one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church Mass while on earth.

Faith makes us wonder now.

Faith makes us try to present our soul during the Mass while we sit in the back hoping to keep our minds on the sacrifice before us. The key to understanding the role Purgatory has in our lives is to know our relationships don’t end with death.

This world is a circle. Death is outside the circle but everything you know and loved, and hated, about the person who died hasn’t changed.

Calling You Home

In fact, Purgatory is God’s additional opportunity for us to go to Heaven. Not sure why the PROTEST-ants don’t understand Purgatory since they are gung-ho on God’s endless blessing of Forgiveness to His creatures.

Heaven is a place at the end of a path of righteousness. And none of us deserve to be on that path. Yet He calls many through prayer and circumstances and millions of other ways.

How sad we will feel when He shows us how many times the Father, Son and Holy Spirit worked to bring us Home.

The Road To Heaven

I wanted a way to help the living help their loved ones get to Heaven faster, sooner and with more caring.

“Right now loved ones in your family tree are calling out for you to pray for them with Masses, Rosary’s, Eucharistic Adoration and simple little Our Father’s when you are feeling sad, lonely or lost.”

You aren’t lost. You sat down on your path to Heaven. Prayers help you get back up to move forward. The closer you get to Heaven the less you will care about hell.

Great Joy

Every time a soul leaves Purgatory and enters Heaven God is there to greet him with great Love and Joy. Please help me pray for the Poor Souls in Purgatory, who may be your loved one, friend or enemy.

Isn’t it odd how praying for your enemy takes more energy and concentration?

Enemies have created more turmoil in your soul that is working to prevent you from praying.

Glory To God

I will expand on this in a blog post, but the point is you should NEVER, EVER, EVER want a soul to go to hell no matter what the person did to you.

Now ask me why?

Because you never want the evil one to get a soul God Created.

Time To Pray

And you never want to go before God to say you helped a soul go to hell.

Why should he save you when you worked, and didn’t offer prayer work, to help that soul go to Heaven?

Time to get personal. Time to pray.

Thanks Be To God

Two priests have given me messages from the other side. We already know the Blessed Mother and the Poor Souls love what we are doing!

You will too when you pray our cards as they comfort you while you mourn.

Blessed Mother Prayer Requests For The Poor Souls

Did I mention we have Poor Souls prayer cards to help you pray for your loved ones, friends and enemies?

We already know the Blessed Mother and the Poor Souls love what we are doing!

You will too when you pray our cards as they comfort you while you mourn.

Pray To The Poor Souls In Purgatory

First, pray the prayers found on the Poor Souls Prayer card, which you can download here, with pleasing Jesus first, as He is the one who loves the Poor Souls the most and uses your prayers to lessen the Poor Souls suffering.

Second, use the Poor Souls Prayer card before or after Mass, but never during Mass. Offering an hour before the Blessed Sacrament during Eucharistic Adoration? There isn’t any better place to pray for the Poor Souls than before Our Lord!

Printing More Prayer Cards

All monies donated go directly to printing more Poor Souls cards that are distributed to the Faithful by any means necessary.Pray the cards get into the hands of those who have forgotten the Poor Souls, for as they pray for the Poor Souls, their own soul is closer to being saved.
